Several local organizations, including 350 Montana, are sponsoring a Non-Violent Direct Action Training this weekend. Here are the details.

Non-violent Direct Action Training

Join Missoula activists for a day of training and discussion on non-violent direct action. All are welcome, whether you are new to activism or a seasoned veteran of NVDA.

Morning: Mark Anderlich of the Missoula Central Labor Council will give an overview of the history of non-violence. We’ll talk strategies for planning effective actions that take in to account both short term and long term goals.

Afternoon: Briefing on rights and risks. Break-out groups led by Will Genadek from Northern Rockies Rising Tide and Caitlin Piserchia of Reinvest will lead us in role play and other direct action scenarios.
