350 Montana’s Action Committee meets on Monday, February 20, at 5:30 p.m., at the Imagine Nation Brewery, and it looks like a full agenda, with a lot of open-ended discussion:

1. Reports on PSC and Energy Forum
2. Discussions on effectiveness of recent actions.
3. Where to go from here.
4. Peoples Climate Mobilization, April 29, in D.C. and in Missoula***
Later on next week, on Thursday, February 23, there’s a big renewable energy rally, “the Solar Jobs and Energy Freedom Rally,” at the capitol in Helena starting at noon. Here’s the Facebook link:
The idea is that some very regressive bills cutting net-metering and other inducements for solar energy, which as usual, are being supported by some of our near-sighted legislators and our utility, NorthWestern Energy. (What a surprise!) The organizers of the rally say politely that “there are efforts underway to take Montana backward,” and, in response, they want to gather as many people as possible who believe we should instead be providing incentives for people who want to move to carbon-free energy. Are you one of them?
You can sign up for ride sharing or a bus from Missoula here: https://www.groupcarpool.com/t/d42735
I hope you can make both the meeting on Monday and the rally on Thursday.
Jeff Smith, co-chair, 350 Montana
