Thursday, February 15, 2018 7:00 PM Citizens Hearing on Rosebud Coal Mine Expansion  Bitterroot Room, Doubletree Inn 100 Madison St, Missoula. The DEQ has stacked the deck in favor of coal by scheduling the only public hearing on this proposal in Colstrip. MEIC, Sierra Club and 350 Montana are sponsoring this “Citizens Hearing” so you too can have a voice. The hearing will be transcribed and presented as part of the record. We need you to all come out and let the DEQ know their tactics won’t work and that coal is costing Montana much more than any short term benefit to be gained.

 

February 22 and 23rd, 2018. Big Sky Documentary Film Festival premier of the Reluctant Radical. This film will be shown at the MCT Center For The Performing Arts, on E. Broadway at N. Adams ST, Missoula at 6:15 PM on Thursday February 22 and again Friday the 23rd at 1:00 PM at the Wilma, 131 S Higgins, Missoula. 350 Montana is a sponsor of these premier showings. This film focuses on Ken Ward, one of the valve turners who shut down pipelines across the Northwest, halting the flow of dirty Tar Sands Oil. Ken Ward as well as Leonard Higgins who shut down the Montana pipeline and awaits sentencing in Chouteau County will be present as will filmmaker Lindsey Grayzel, who was also arrested but has since had charges dismissed. Michael Foster, who shut down the North Dakota line was just received a sentence that has put him in jail for a year.
