Ratepayers Rebellion—Helena

December 9, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Montana Public Service Commission (PSC) is holding a public hearing on NorthWestern Energy’s zero clean energy plan on Dec. 9 in Helena. Montanans are flocking to protest this plan and demand a clean energy future.

Learn More and RSVP

We’re in the midst of a climate emergency and our utility has filed its energy resource plan with the Montana PSC. The plan shows the types of energy NorthWestern Energy plans to use over the next twenty years to produce electricity.

NorthWestern wants to keep burning expensive coal until 2042, build more gas plants and develop exactly ZERO new renewable energy supplies.

The PSC can reject this assault on the people of Montana and its cherished environment. Join us for a rally and public hearing in Helena on Dec. 9. Buses will be traveling from Missoula, Billings and Bozeman to join Helena locals!

RSVP here and reserve your seat if you are travelling from Missoula, Billings or Bozeman and we can follow up with more info.

What: Resource Procurement Plan Hearing and Rally at Montana PSC.
When: Monday, Dec. 9. Rally at noon and hearing at 1:30 p.m.
Where: Montana Public Service Commission, 1701 Prospect Ave, Helena, MT 59601

The Montana PSC rarely gets public input on resource plans. If we show up in force, commissioners will have no choice but to listen. They could reject NorthWestern’s plans since it’s their job to protect customers from high electric rates, which coal and gas only make worse.

Please RSVP and we’ll follow up with more details about the buses.

Hope you can make it,
