DESCRIPTION:Montana’s Changing Climate: the State of Climate Science in MT\n\nPublic \n\n\n· Hosted by Clean Air Montana \n\nMonday\, June 5 at 4 PM – 6 PM\n\n\n\n\n\n\nUniversity of Montana \n\n32 Campus Dr\, Missoula\, Montana 59812 \nIn the last few months it seems like every day some sort of anti-science position or statement is issued from a politician in Washington D.C. Climate change science is being particularly hard hit. To counter this\, the University of Montana’s Climate Change Studies Program\, Montana State University Extension Climate Science Team and the National Wildlife Federation are teaming up to host a State of Climate Change Science in Montana forum. \nAt the forum leading Montana scientists will present on the state of climate science in Montana and the impacts of the changing climate on the state’s water\, forests\, agriculture\, and wildlife. The presentations will be followed by a moderated question and answer session with the scientists. \nThe event will be held in the University Theatre at the University of Montana. \nPresenters will include: \n• Dr. Steve Running\, UM Regents Professor of Ecology\, Nobel Laureate\n• Dr. Nick Silverman\, UM Franke College of Forestry and Conservation Hydrologist\n• Dr. Alisa Wade\, UM GeoSciences Conservation Scientist and Spatial Ecologist\n• Dr. Tim Seipel\, MSU College of Agriculture Adjunct Professor\n• Dr. Scott Mills\, UM Franke College of Forester and Conservation Associate Vice President\n• Dr. Nicky Phear\, UM Climate Change Studies Program Director \nRefreshments will be provided. \nDon’t miss this opportunity to get the straight scoop about climate change in your backyard.\nAny questions?
