DESCRIPTION:Lauren Regan — who was one of valve-turner Leonard Higgins’ lawyers and gave an incredibly succinct and moving summary of climate change and nonviolent civil disobedience at Leonard’s sentencing — is in town to do the training on Friday\, June 7\, 10am to 5pm at the Union Hall. She is the executive director from the Civil Liberties Defense Center in Eugene. Lauren says\, “First half is your rights in dealing w/ cops and courts\, and the second half is a look at the current state repression\, spying\, security culture\, etc. It is specifically tailored to climate defenders and includes a lot of Freedom of Information Act info we have obtained\, some of it very specific to Montana so I’d like to have the full time period to share as much as possible.”\n\nThere’s a facebook event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/306860933591518/
