Tell Senator Daines a Thing or Two

I don’t want to take too much of your time today, but I found a hidden gem that I wanted to share with you.

Many Montanans have been disappointed in Senator Steve Daines in recent weeks. Nowhere in our constitution does the phrase “rubber stamp” occur, yet that’s what the Senator has done in regards to our new President’s cabinet officials. The Senator has enthusiastically accepted Exxon’s CEO, Rex Tillerson, as Secretary of State, and a climate-change-denying former governor for Energy Secretary, Rick Perry. And, most baffling of all, he has supported a rejectionist for Environmental Protection Agency director, Scott Pruitt, whose career in Oklahoma featured fighting against each and every EPA regulation meant to slow the degradation of our climate.

Well, today you have a chance to weigh in on Senator Daines’ own internal poll. Go here:

You can actually write in the issue that is most important, and one question asks which issue will have the most impact on your children and grandchildren. I hope you choose to give the Senator an ear-ful on climate change and the need to move as quickly as possible from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
