A Raucous Rally at NorthWestern Energy’s Headquarters!, 9 a.m., 11 East Park Street, Butte. 350 Montana is driving a bus from Missoula to Butte. Folks are coming from Helena, Bozeman, and all parts of the compass to make sure company hears the urgent demands of our deteriorating climate. Ratepayers don’t want more coal and fossil fuel generators. Ratepayers don’t want extra charges when people slash their carbon footprint with rooftop solar panels. Every sensible person on the planet realizes it’s time to zero out greenhouse gas production, but this utility plans to continue pollution at the current rate, 800 pounds of carbon dioxide per megawatt hour, through 2038.
