What’s up with KXL/ this EIS:
- In response to a lawsuit filed by multiple organizations arguing permit was based on stale EIS, lawsuit was successful– concluded that a new EIS was necessary to move forward
- The state department has been busy working on a supplementary EIS to move forward.
- This hearing will be the basis for the last remaining permits to be issued or not issued
- Army Corps section 408 (Missouri river crossing)
- BLM
- This is the ONLY hearing on KXL in the country before the permitting process
