Green New Deal Town Hall

May 11, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Sponsored by Sunrise Movement Missoula

Come one come all to our Green New Deal Town Hall!
Throughout the months of April and May, Sunrise Movements across the nation are hosting town halls. Our priority is to educate everyone on the Green New Deal resolution and what that means for our lives in Montana. Join us here in Missoula at the public library! It’s a great opportunity for every citizen to hear how the Green New Deal will impact their life as well as ask any questions you may have. It’s so critical for our community to be educated on this amazing opportunity we have to make a substantial difference in fighting climate change and injustice. This event will include a presentation about Sunrise Movement and the Green New Deal, along with a panel of experts which so far includes:

-Amy Cilimburg – Executive Director for Climate Smart Missoula
-David Merrill – Senior Organizer for Montana Sierra Club
-Dan Spencer- Geology/climate change ethics professor/activist
-David Strohmaier – Missoula County Commissioner

We will also have some influential speakers including:
-Robin Saha – Environmental Sociologist with a policy focus and environmental injustice experience, teaches at UM
-Jeffrey Smith – 350 Montana Manager/actions coordinator

We hope to see you all there! Don’t forget to bring friends!
